Job Description:
The Content Manager reports directly to the Senior Buyer Marketing Manager and will strategically manage the identification, acquisition and development of online content and copy for a leading B2B e-Commerce website. All content is custom created in-house. The ideal candidate will execute content plans and strategies that align with the company needs, budget and development calendar.
Responsibilities:
Ø Lead a team of creative talents to optimize current and new site content
Ø Craft compelling content plans, strategies and editorial calendars, based on key digital insights/metrics reports, for online seasonal, evergreen and third-party brand experiences. Must align with company objectives
Ø Develop actionable copy for seasonals and brand experiences
Ø Help determine, develop and establish the message/voice for all content
Ø Experienced in creating Newsletters for both internal and external clients
Ø Website and other marketing content design, including copywriting/proofreading
Ø Understand how integration of blogs, expert content, subject matter experts, video and other content forms affect the outcome of a particular digital execution versus another approach and be able to defend recommendations with solid insights
Ø Recommend innovative content solutions that are scalable, on-budget, on-deadline and result in press-worthy digital experiences
Ø Interface with internal clients to explain content offerings, pitch complex content-development work and communicate best practices
Ø Remain ahead of the content curve, exploring new types of digital, interactive and social content
Ø Routinely track, audit and monitor online content in systematic fashion, reporting successes and opportunities
Ø Train, manage and mentor existing content strategists, editors and copywriters
Ø Discover ways to effectively drive traffic to content and brand experiences, and identify ways to reverse negative traffic trends in our buyer review/feedback systems
Ø Review analysis of site performance using data and recommend changes or best practices based on analysis
Requirements:
Ø Native English Speakers strongly preferred
Ø Mandarin Chinese ability an advantage
Ø A Bachelor's degree, with specific training in Marketing creative, copywriting, journalism, etc.
Ø Minimum of 5 years’ execution and management experience with a focus on Marketing content strategy, editorial management, and/or creative management
Ø Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines
Ø Experience with online copywriting and idea strategy in digital media
Ø Top-notch written and verbal communicator
Ø Ability to efficiently work with all levels of co-workers, teams and satellite offices
Ø Thorough knowledge of AP style and grammar
Ø Cross-functional perspective of marketing campaigns and strategies
