1、(Senior) Validation Engineer - Set Top Box （高级）黑盒测试工程师
Job Description
-Participate in analyzing and investigation for the concepts and requirenments of product.
-Contribute in system valdiation plan define with test stratagem considering.
-Develop test cases to ensure the product’s conformance to requirements, standards.
-Paticipate in testing and validating the product from system level and performing test coverage analysis.
-Customer field support (Field test, exhibitions, pre-sales, …)
-Contribute in certifications activities (CAS, HDMI, USB, cable modem, life test…)
-Developing tools to support our products testing activities, such as stream analyzer/editor, automation test tools and test scripts....
-Competitive analysis (Product features & performances benchmarking)
Candidate Profile
-Bachalor/MS degree above in Electrical or Communication engineering or Compute Science
-Solid background in digtal communication theory and information theory.
-Above 5 years development or testing/validation experience on embedded IRD products.
-Above 3 years of professional experience on video encoding/coding techniques (MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264, AVS, etc.)
-Good experience on digital video broadcast (DVB, ATSC…) or Networks and Telcom area (Video of IP, IPTV…).
-Good experience on DHCP, TFTP/FTP, SNMP, RTP… protocol is mandatory for our IP STB product line.
-Skilled in auto test script development, be familiar with Python, Perl, TCL, Java..any one of them is good plus.
-Good experience on Unix, Liux administration is plus
-Fluent English language: Mandatory,

职位描述/要求：
Role Responsibility :
Work in an well established R&D center with an international, dynamic, stimulating environment, competitive compensation and plenty of opportunities to grow

Job description :
•Requirement analysis and test strategy definition.
•Testing of Middleware Product including White Box Testing for embedded SW Components and system test.
•Specify tests procedures according to detailed design specifications for SW components.
•Specify tests procedures according to system requirements for the product.
•Develop and run the associated tests case code.
•Writes tests results reports and bug reports.
Required profile :
-Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering
-3+ years relevant experience in embedded system/consumer electronics industry
-3+ years relevant experience on SW testing.
-Fluently in English and Chinese, both verbally and in writing
-Experience in test scripting in langage such as python, perl, or tools such as TestComplete is a plus.
-Experience in working under linux or unix system is a plus.
-Digital Television and IPTV experience is a plus.
-Experience in Agile/Scrum development is a plus.
-Experience on C/C++ is a plus.
-Must be self-motivated.

Job Description

Contributing to the complete life-cycle of a product (design, test, debug, and field-support) in the domain of broadcast and broadband networking for set top
boxes
This position is in the Set-top Box (STB) product development department, the jobholder is in charge to work in one or more following categories: driver
software, bootloader software, middleware development and integration, CA integration, other application development and integration, software system
integration, etc.
Candidate Profile
• Bachelor's degree or upper in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 3+ years of professional software design and development experience. 1+ years in the set top box middleware development
• Have good self-learning ability and and innovative spirit
• C and C++ language is mandatory
• Good communication skills and able to conduct meetings with English mother-tongue speakers
• Be familiar with DVB, MPEG standards and STB system architecture
• Be familiar with STB software structure with the experiences of CA and middleware integration
• Experience with ST, Broadcom or Conexant chipsets and reference designs is a strong plus.
• Experience in Audio/Video related industry is preferred

- Design and develop SW modules for our advanced DSL gateway product according to
Technicolor software development processes
- Participate in Design and Code Reviews
- Quickly learn new technology and create optimized implementations.
- Be involved in the functional requirements and prepare supporting design specification
documents
- Actively involved in customer specific programs and make these a success story.
- Create structure design and detail design documents.
- Perform testing with technical peers and functional end users to ensure successful launch
of development projects
- Provide adequate and timely weekly status reporting on assigned tasks
Candidate Profile

-Strong analytical skills

-+3 years relevant experience in embedded development
