the world. We are looking for a leader to dive deep and innovate at
the heart of the Amazon platform focused on leveraging technology
to create a huge leap in product data quality. Amazon.com, a
Fortune 500 company based in Seattle, Washington, is the global
leader in e-commerce. This is a very high
visibility role within the organization requiring working with
technical, business, and operation teams in Seattle, UK, India and
China. This person will be responsible to drive strategically
important systems and processes re-engineering initiatives to
improve customer experience and product discoverability through
catalog data quality. The Technical Program Manager for Amazon
Catalog Quality in Beijing, China will:

Define
critical product data improvement initiatives that will create a
disproportionate improvement in website customer
experience
·
Dive deep
into Amazon’s Global Catalog systems, Global browse systems, and
other global platform components to decide make technology
decisions as to what to leverage and what to build
·
Make
strategic decisions on localization vs. global reuse and process
vs. systems solution
·
Define
tracking, reporting metrics, and dashboards to drive actions and
improvements
·
Drive
complex initiatives to measure, detect, and correct data quality
issues
·
Manage a
team of engineers, and influence other teams to deliver
results
·
Leverage
technology and innovation to bring continuous improvement to
improving data quality for China
·
Work
effectively in a cross-functional environment with technical,
business operations, and product management teams spread across the
globe
Basic
Qualifications
·
Fluent in
English

6+ years
leading large, cross-functional technical projects
·
Comfortable with getting high level ambiguous objectives
into concrete executable work plans

Previous
people management experience

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both
written and verbal)

Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Software Development Manager who
is passionate about defining and building software and has team
leadership skill. As a SDM, you will lead developers to collaborate
with your stakeholders to figure out potential problems hurting
Amazon business or do innovation to provide new digital system to
improve experience/efficiency for both external and internal. You
need define product roadmap, metrics, project plan, drive rapid
development cycle for high-quality delivery. You must have strong
team management skill and project management skill, including
customer-focused innovation, strong data analysis and
problem-solving skills, and the ability to work across teams and
across geographies. You must have an understanding of how to build
up a large-scale application system to provide intelligence service
in big data times. Fluency in written and oral communication in
English and in Chinese is necessary.
Basic Qualifications

5+ years of industry experience leading development
team to build enterprise application system including several
product shipping cycles.

2+ years people management experience
·
Passion of designing and writing great
code.

A deep understanding to object-oriented design and
programming.

Great technical passion, terrific problem-solving

vision

Experience with Agile development, and knowledge of
professional software engineering practices for the full software
development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews,
source control management, build processes, unit testing and
functional testing

Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the
ability to work well in a team environment distributed across
domains and geographical locations are very important.

Proficient in building software applications in
Java/C#, preferably in a Unix/Linux environment.

Solid RDBMS experience, familiar with SQL.

Program Manager – Customer Buying Intelligence
Key Responsibilities:
The Technical Program Manager for Amazon Customer Buying Intelligence groups in Beijing, China will:
Working with business owners and product managers
across the organization to define strategy, requirements, and
timelines, as well as lead cross functional development teams
through design, delivery, management and support.
Cross-team coordination, project management and
executive presentation skills are essential.
The ideal candidate is a creative leader with superior
analytical abilities across business and technology. This

Basic Qualifications
