Responsibilities:
As assigned by the Supervisor, but may include:
- Oversee the in-China web marketing and social media engagement for three to four majorsocial media accounts.
- Manage the messaging within the China market for social media customers to a very high standard.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and Grok staff in setting strategies and defining tactics on social media marketing.
- Monitor Chinese social media channels on behalf of customers.
- Develop knowledge of the customer context, such that your recommendations are realistic in light of local conditions within the institution.
- Work with Grok’s management team to craft viable business models and business cases to support the development of Grok’s social media offering.
- Work within Grok’s management team to define Grok’s own corporate social media strategy.
Qualifications: - Six or more years experience in increasingly responsible roles related to marketing communications.
- Significant experience in social media marketing in China.
- Experience with micro-blogging, RenRen, **, QQ and other social media platforms.
- Experience in the development and management of social media solutions for foreign academic institutions.
- Bachelor’s degree or above with a focus on marketing, communications, mediaor similar background.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong English fluency.Proficient in business writing.Able to discuss social media and marketing srategy with English speakers.
